
Ingredients:
Chicken - 1/2 kg
Big onion (Chopped) - 2
Tomatoes (Chopped) - 2
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbs
Chili powder - 1 tbs
Coriander powder - 1 tbs
Crushed pepper corns - 3 tbs
Lemon juice - 1 tbs
Salt to taste
For seasoning:
Cinnamon- 3
Cardamom - 3
Clove - 3
Bay leaf - little
Fennel seeds - 1 tbs
Curry leaf - 10 leaves
Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes with 1 tbs chili powder, 1 tbs turmeric powder and half the ginger garlic paste. Add half the quantity of salt required also during marinating.
Method:
Step 1: Pour 2 table spoon of cooking oil. Add cinnamom. cardamom, clove, bay leaf, fennel seeds & curry leaf.
Step 2: Next add the nicely chopped onion and saute till oil separates. Then add the ginger garlic paste and turmeric powder.
Step 3: Then add the tomato pieces and try to smash it using the spoon. Now add the coriander powder and mix well. Add 1/4 cup of water into the masala.
Step 4: Close the kadai and let the masal get cooked for 5 minutes. (Oil will be separated at this stage)
Step 5: In this stage add the marinated chicken pieces. Saute well till the moisture in the chicken comes out. Add salt, close the kadai and cook for 10 to 15 minutes in medium flame.
Step 6: Once the pieces are cooked add the crushed pepper corns and mix well. Add the lemon juice after switching off the stove. Garnish with coriander leaves.
