Nannari Sarbath

Ingredients:

Nannari roots - 250 gms

Water - 2 lts

Sugar - 11/4 kg

Citric Acid - a pinch

Lemon Juice - as required

Ice cubes - as required


Method:

Step1: Soak nannari sarbath in 2 lt of water & leave it overnight.

Step2: Next day morning boil the roots with the soaked water till it reduce to 1 lt.

Step3: Strain the liquid with the muslin cloth.

Step4: Add the liquid in a heavy bottom vessel & add 1 1/4 kg sugar & boil  it for 15 to 20 minutes.

Step5: To preserve the syrup add a pinch of citric acid.

Step6: Allow it to cool & store in a glass bottle.

Step7: Finally to prepare nannari sarbath add 2 1/2 tsp syrup to 200ml of water & add 1 1/2 tbs of lemon 

juice & serve it with ice cubes.
